Tackling PFAS together: SELPAXT presented in the Netherlands
On September 19, Chromafora was invited to present our PFAS removal technology SELPAXT at an event hosted by Turbin Industrial Water Solutions in Rijen, the Netherlands. The seminar brought together industrial companies, water utilities, and technology experts to discuss one of today’s most urgent environmental challenges: how to effectively remove PFAS from complex wastewater streams.
An Engaging and collaborative day
The event was more than just presentations—it was an active dialogue. Participants shared their perspectives on local PFAS challenges, ranging from high concentrations of total PFAS to particularly stubborn short-chain compounds. Many expressed frustration with conventional treatment methods that quickly become saturated or create large volumes of secondary waste.
Against this backdrop, Chromafora’s Sales Director Stefan Wall Qvist introduced SELPAXT and explained how the technology addresses exactly these pain points:
“It’s always encouraging to meet directly with customers,” said Stefan. “You could really feel the urgency in the room. The Dutch market is facing streams with high levels of short-chain PFAS and high organics—and this is precisely where SELPAXT delivers consistent results, generating only 0.1% residual waste, facilitating efficient PFAS destruction."
Participants showed strong interest, asking detailed questions about integration with existing treatment plants, operational costs, and long-term reliability. Several stayed after the formal session to continue the conversation with Stefan and the Turbin team.
Excellent hosting by Turbin
The seminar was organized by Turbin Industrial Water Solutions, Chromafora’s trusted partner in the Netherlands. Turbin provided a professional yet welcoming setting that encouraged open discussion.
Looking ahead
The day concluded with networking, coffee, and many follow-up discussions that underscored the strong interest in next steps. Chromafora looks forward to continuing conversations with the companies and authorities present—and to supporting the Netherlands in its ambition for a PFAS-free future.
