PFAS at a turning point! Let’s talk at IFAT 2026

Written by Roger Eriksson | Apr 29, 2026 10:44:49 AM

PFAS regulation across Europe is tightening, moving from guidance to clearer limits, broader monitoring, and real enforcement. For landfill leachate, this shift is especially visible: complex streams, dominated by short-chain PFAS, are becoming harder to manage as expectations increase.

At IFAT 2026, we’re focusing on PFAS solutions for today and tomorrow. What works today: like advanced flocculation in complex leachate remains essential. But with tougher limits ahead, the need for technologies that address the full PFAS spectrum, including short- and ultra-short chains, is growing. That’s where approaches like SELPAXT come in, enabling deeper removal and minimal residual waste.

More importantly, IFAT is a place for conversation. How are you navigating the regulatory shift? What solutions are proving effective in your context? And how do we prepare for what’s next? Together?
