A simpler way to remove PFAS
Chromafora's PFAS flocculation technology removes up to 95% of PFAS using a straightforward process built on familiar water treatment equipment.
Built for difficult water
Landfill leachate and industrial wastewater often contain PFAS alongside organic matter, suspended solids, metals and other contaminants – conditions that can make conventional PFAS filtration both difficult and costly.
Flocculation offers a practical alternative: it binds PFAS into separable solids, and can be used either as the primary PFAS treatment method or as a pretreatment step ahead of a polishing technology such as SELPAXT, GAC or ion exchange.
How it works
Flocculation – Chromafora's PFAS flocculant and supporting treatment chemicals are added to the water, causing PFAS to bind into flocs.
Flotation – the suspended solids are separated from the treated water.
Dewatering – the PFAS-containing sludge is dewatered, reducing the volume requiring further handling.
